Dr. Terence (Terry) Michael Warren was born in Burlington, N.C. where he completed his degree at Walter Williams High School in 1971. He continued his education for 4 years at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. Terry chose to complete an additional 4 years at Southern College of Optometry where he graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry.

Terry, as well as his brother Craig and his sister Beth, were influenced by their uncle, Dr. Dean Barker. As if 4 optometrists in the family were not enough, Beth choose to marry an optometrist, Dr. David Freeman, who’s brother is also an optometrist, Dr. Chip Freeman. This profession is truly a family affair.

Dr. Terry Warren shares his knowledge in the community by serving as chairman of the Surry County Board of Health. He also donates time thru the area Lions Club, City of Mount Airy, Surry County employees, Surry Community College and other community organizations by conducting visions screenings as needed.

Dr. Terry Warren and his wife Debbie have resided in Dobson since 1984. They welcomed their son, Seth, into the family in 1989.
